Based upon the 19th century folk song Simple Gifts, Old Shaker Melody is scored for five trumpets in b flat. It was written for and dedicated to Michele McWilliams and the trumpet ensemble at Pinkston Middle School from Mountain Home.

Based upon themes by Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826), the piece makes for a flashy concert opener. It is scored for twelve trumpets.
Hallelujah Chorus

Sousa’s famous march written for the U.S. Marine Corps translates well for a brass ensemble consisting of 3 trumpets, 2 horns, 3 trombones, euphonium, and tuba. The addition of percussion parts from the original Sousa score makes for a nice touch at concert time.
